About the role
We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. Associates greet, engage, and interact with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. They assist with customer inquiries and problem resolution, working with a wide variety of merchandise including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations). This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity.
Pay
$10.00 to $13.00 per hour, plus commission. Associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $4.72 per hour on top of the hourly rate. Actual pay depends on work location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
- Perform non-management open/close procedures.
- Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
- Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle cash and negotiable items per established guidelines.
- Answer incoming calls to company standards.
- Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
- Complete assigned training and other related duties as needed.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
- Willingness to assist customers outside the building (e.g., parking lots, exterior storage).
- Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Flexibility to work in multiple locations and a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and office machines.

Commission Plan
