Retail Sales and Store Support

Responsibilities

• Keep the store clean, organized, and easy to shop.
• Help customers locate what they need and answer their questions.
• Maintain a welcoming environment across different store areas.
• Restock shelves and assist with product selections.
• Keep products available and displays in good condition.
• Rotate products, update pricing or signage, and maintain backroom organization.
• Handle inventory and work across different departments.
• Maintain store standards throughout the shift.

Skills

• Customer Interaction Skills: Clear, helpful communication when assisting customers and answering questions.
• Stocking & Merchandising: Experience placing products on shelves, facing items, and maintaining display standards.
• Product Knowledge: Familiarity with store layout, pricing, and general merchandise across departments.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in pricing, labeling, product rotation, and removing outdated items.
• Organization & Time Management: Managing multiple tasks while maintaining clean, organized work areas.
• Inventory Awareness: Monitoring product levels and assisting with restocking and ordering processes.
• Equipment Use: Handling tools such as pallet jacks, box cutters, or handheld devices following safety guidelines.
• Adaptability: Comfort moving between tasks, departments, and priorities throughout the shift.
• Physical Capability: Comfort with standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 60 lbs., and working in varying environments including backroom and outdoor areas.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older (18 years of age or older, depending on role requirements).
• Prior retail, stocking, or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment such as pallet jacks, balers, and box cutters following training and safety guidelines.
• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Compliance with company policies including safety, sanitation, and dress standards.
