About the role

The ideal Salesperson is passionate about fashion and styling and has the ability to cultivate and grow a customer following, both digitally and in-store. A day in the life includes setting and achieving sales goals for both in-store and digital selling with effective use of selling tools (inclusive of text and social media), building lasting relationships with customers, and providing the best service on their terms. Additional responsibilities include offering honest and confident feedback about style and fit, seeking fashion and product knowledge to build expertise, and working with the team to keep the department customer-ready through order fulfillment, stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, and light cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using tools such as text and social media
• Build and maintain lasting customer relationships
• Provide exceptional customer service tailored to individual preferences
• Offer honest and confident feedback to customers about style and fit
• Seek ongoing fashion and product knowledge to enhance expertise
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a customer-ready department by fulfilling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, price markdowns, and light cleaning
• Grow relationships by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts
• Conduct bra fittings with customers in the fitting room by measuring for size and providing appropriate fit and style guidance (training provided)
• Be flexible to occasionally perform work or duties in a department other than the one hired into

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

$21.90 hourly
