Retail Running Ambassador

About the Role

The Run Ambassador is a technically focused role centered around providing a differentiated athlete experience specifically to runners. This individual will pull from personal experiences and industry research/trends to deliver strong product recommendations and create tailored consultative experiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct gait analysis to assess an athlete’s foot movements and recommend appropriate running products.
• Translate and align product technology to the athlete’s needs and preferences to enhance their running experience.
• Ensure product recommendations align with the athlete’s running goals.
• Recommend runner best practices (e.g., warm-up/cool-down techniques, improvement plans, running form, stretches) based on personal experience.
• Fully outfit athletes with appropriate footwear and workout accessories from head to toe.
• Create a tailored consultative experience to provide unparalleled customer service, adapting sales style as needed.
• Partner with store teammates to share running concepts and educate others on new product releases and technology.
• Maintain merchandise presentation standards and signage in the Footwear Department.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
• Support the team across the store with an all-hands-on-deck approach.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of retail or footwear experience preferred, but not required.

Pay

Targeted pay range: $15.50 - $24.25 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on location, experience, and position offered.
