Retail Print Manager
About the role
The Retail Print Manager at Office Depot plays a pivotal role in driving print sales and service growth within high print volume stores. This role involves creating and nurturing a vibrant sales culture, enhancing store visual and merchandising standards for print products, and prioritizing client satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
Sales and Service Excellence: Ensures delivery of memorable customer experiences and client satisfaction in the Print Department. Owns the execution of Office Depot selling techniques and sales training in print and across the store. Drives a sales-focused environment through the training and development of all associates, inclusive of print. Acts as a role model for delivering exceptional customer service and product expertise.
Leadership and Team Development: Provides guidance, direction, and ongoing training to all associates to ensure an understanding of print processes and selling techniques. Facilitates training sessions on the business model and the holistic service offering for clients/customers. Observes, coaches, and provides feedback to enhance associate proficiency and build a culture of trust and brand loyalty. Regularly exercises independent judgment when providing input on assessing store associates' performance, certification(s), and competencies. Other duties as deemed necessary.
Operational Efficiency: Operates all equipment within the Print Services area to maintain efficient production and ensure customers' orders are completed correctly and on time. Identifies areas for process improvement and implements plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies, including monitoring and managing all print supplies. Contributes to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
External Key Carrier Responsibilities: Maintains the safety and security of the print department, building, and associates during the absence of other managers. Performs opening and closing responsibilities, including activation and deactivation of the store's alarm system, cash handling, and daily store balancing. Partners with all associates to ensure regular loss prevention compliance. Full responsibilities associated with External Key Carrier designation.
Qualifications & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1–3 years related experience
Minimum 2 years management experience or equivalent internal development
Experience in Print Center operations
Experience with logistics, freight, and visual merchandising
Strong PC skills: Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
Subject matter expert in Print Services and related systems
Proficient with role-related technology and POS systems
Advanced selling skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

Desire to continuously grow selling skills and product knowledge
Ability to coach, train, and develop others
Adaptable, positive, and engaging; demonstrates integrity, accountability, and trust

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
The salary range for this role is 17.00/hr to 18.00/hr, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
