Retail Print Manager
About the role
As a Retail Print Manager at Office Depot, you will play a pivotal role in driving print sales and service growth within our high print volume store. Your enthusiasm and expertise in print services will help create and nurture a vibrant sales culture, enhance visual and merchandising standards for print products, and prioritize unparalleled client satisfaction. You will oversee all aspects of the print production process, manage print equipment and supplies, and ensure the delivery of high-quality print materials. As a "Key Carrier," you will also be responsible for opening and closing the store, maintaining safety and security, and performing related duties.
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of memorable customer experiences and client satisfaction in the Print Department.
- Ensure execution of Office Depot selling techniques and sales training in print and across the store.
- Drive a sales-focused environment through training and development of all associates, including print-specific coaching.
- Act as a role model for exceptional customer service and product expertise.
- Provide guidance, direction, and ongoing training to associates on print processes and selling techniques.
- Facilitate training sessions on the business model and holistic service offerings.
- Observe, coach, and provide feedback to enhance associate proficiency and build a culture of trust and brand loyalty.
- Operate all equipment within the Print Services area to ensure efficient production and timely order completion.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies, including managing print supplies.
- Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction initiatives.
- Maintain the safety and security of the print department, building, and associates during the absence of other managers.
- Perform opening and closing responsibilities, including alarm activation/deactivation, cash handling, and daily store balancing.
- Ensure regular loss prevention compliance in partnership with all associates.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- 1–3 years of related experience.
- Minimum 2 years of management experience or equivalent internal development.
- Experience in Print Center operations.
- Experience with logistics, freight, and visual merchandising.
Skills
- Strong PC skills: Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Subject matter expert in Print Services and related systems.
- Proficient with role-related technology and POS systems.
- Advanced selling skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Passion for the brand, products, services, and solutions.
- Desire to continuously grow selling skills and product knowledge.

Schedule
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that aligns with business needs, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $13.38 to $22.74 per hour, with compliance to all state and local minimum wage laws.
