Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in the preparation and dispensing of medications and mixtures
- Picks medications for automated dispensing cabinet replenishment
- Aseptically prepares sterile products
- Maintains storeroom areas
- Fills floor stock remote orders
- Restocks medications into automated dispensing cabinets
- Manages emergency medication inventory
- Empties return bins in automated dispensing cabinets
- Utilizes the unit-dose machine to package bulk medications
- Performs cycle counts of the carousel
- Cleans medication rooms
- Greets and assists customers
- Engages in customer services activities
- Triage calls
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk and stand 90% of the day
- Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs
- Frequent reaching and grasping
- Pushing and/or pushing non-motorized equipment
- Manual dexterity
- See medications, computer screen, and reports
- Read automated dispensing reports regularly
- Some discomfort due to dust, dirt, and temperature changes
- Exposed to broken glass and hazardous chemicals
