Overview

Role Purpose
The Pharmacy Technician - Retail 2, under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, performs all of the level I retail technician functions, completes advanced compounding, and manages perpetual drug inventory. This position is also responsible for orienting & training new technicians, as well as demonstrating a commitment to continuing education.
Responsibilities
- Handles all Retail Pharmacy Technician I responsibilities, to include clerical duties, data entry, cash handling & reconciliation and inventory management.
- Performs advanced compounding.
- Manages perpetual inventory in pharmacy IT system by maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
- Orients and trains new technicians.
- Demonstrates a commitment to continuing education.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience:
- Licenses & Certifications: State Bd Pharm Registration
Preferred Requirements
- Experience: 2-5 years
- Licenses & Certifications: Pharmacy Tech Certification
