Retail Pharmacist - PRN

Job Duties

• Provides immunizations.
• Provides medication therapy management.
• Compounds and/or dispenses medications and other extemporaneous products for outpatients, while also reviewing, interpreting and clarifying prescriptions for accuracy.
• Provides information on drugs, their characteristics, dosages, indications, adverse reactions, etc. to medical staff.
• Oversees technical and clerical staff on a day to day basis as required in the preparations and delivery of medications.
• Actively participates in the planning and development of new projects and assists in developing / updating departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Education Required - Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• Work Experience Preferred - Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)
• Experience Required - 1 year of experience working with standard pharmacy and office equipment.
• Experience Working in a Retail/Community Pharmacy

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
