Retail Pharmacist

H&H Leadership Solutions invites you to explore an outstanding opportunity for a Retail Pharmacist position at Wray Community District Hospital's retail pharmacy location. Wray is a critical access hospital focused on providing a personal and compassionate healthcare experience for the residents and visitors of Wray, Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Provides pharmaceutical care to all ages of patients from newborns to the elderly.
• Understands that there are dosage variations between newborn, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients, and knows where to find appropriate information.
• Supervises pharmacy staff: pharmacy technician, billing clerk.
• Maintains accuracy of all postings onto the patient profiles in the computer system.
• Ensures drug allergies, drug interactions, duplicate therapy, rational drug therapy and incompatibilities are identified.
• Endorses policies and procedures of the retail pharmacy.
• Maintains established procedures concerning quality control, security of controlled substances and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Participates in the 340B program, antibiotic stewardship, pharmacy and therapeutics meetings and any other meetings involving pharmacy.
• Stays current in the pharmaceutical field through continuing education, conferences, professional journals and societies.
• Utilizes and maintains the pharmacy’s dispensing system (Liberty Software, recently implemented).

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Pharmacist License (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Minimum 2 years of retail/community pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience with immunizations and compounding helpful but not required.
• Strong communication, and customer service skills.
• Commitment to serving in a rural community environment.
