Retail Pharmacist

Perform all duties required by law in the dispensing of prescriptions. Supervises all ancillary personnel while on duty. Counsels patients and /or customers as required. Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or LTC is preferred. 2-3 days per week consisting of 10 hours per day. Hours will include Saturdays and/or Sundays. Roles and Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring that billing is correct and oversees clerks and technicians in billing as needed. Interprets, clarifies, and fills prescription orders with no errors. Maintains all records including controlled drugs, inventory, and prescriptions. Unsure proper documentation as required by local, state, and Federal regulations. Supervises pharmacy technicians and clerks and coordinates workflow. Other tasks and duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications And Skills Current and valid California Pharmacy License. BS in Pharmacy, Pharm D preferred. Excellent communication skills in both oral and writing. Strong attention to detail. Multitasking and ability to prioritize work. Good organizational skills. Has integrity, compassion, and empathy. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and, essentially, PrimeCare (QS1) would be a plus point
