Retail Pharmacist
About the role
The Retail Pharmacist plays a critical role in optimizing the delivery of retail pharmaceutical care. Responsibilities include meticulous processing of prescription orders, comprehensive drug utilization review (DUR) to identify potential interactions and allergies, and precise final product verification. The role also involves engaging directly with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, providing vital medication counseling and education. Additionally, the Retail Pharmacist consults with insurance providers for authorization, clarifies prescriptions with medical providers, and manages ancillary staff workflow while ensuring adherence to inventory management and customer service goals.
Requirements
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Active Pharmacist License in good standing in the State of Nebraska
- BLS (Basic Life Support) with the American Heart Association
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of retail pharmacy operations, including dispensing, counseling, and regulatory compliance
- Expertise in drug utilization review, medication safety protocols, and current knowledge of pharmaceutical information technology systems
- Highly organized and customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills and cultural competence
- Proactive approach to maintaining best practices in pharmacy care, including potential involvement in immunizations and MTM programs

Pay
The posted compensation range of $49.54 - $73.70 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
Schedule
PRN schedule, Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm, Saturday from 9am to 12noon.
