About the Role

A professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. The role requires expert knowledge of store systems, advanced automotive system knowledge, and part expertise. Responsibilities include advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance for DIY customers, as well as sourcing parts from multiple channels. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Perform key holder responsibilities (task assignment, safety, open/close duties).
• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put-away, cycle counts, and back stock management.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of automotive systems (internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust, etc.).
• Ability to speak and write English (Spanish a plus); strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
• Proven sales ability with past experience in customer transactions.
• ASE P2 certification or ASE-ready equivalent (preferred but not required).
• Successful completion of the Parts Knowledge Assessment.
