About the Role

A professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts, with the ability to assist DIY customers through advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project support. The position is full-time.

Responsibilities

• Provide a GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Perform key holder responsibilities (task assignment, safety, open/close duties).
• Assist in store inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.).
• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot).

Success Factors

• Friendly communication and ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Proficiency in locating and stocking parts, safety knowledge, and inventory systems.
• Expertise in operating POS, parts lookup systems, and diagnostic equipment.
• ASE P2 certified or equivalent (ASE ready).
• Advanced skills in parts lookup, sourcing, and project recommendations.
• Strong selling skills for DIY customers.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of automotive systems (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust, etc.).
• Ability to read, interpret, and execute instructions from documents (safety rules, manuals, diagrams).
• Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work varied shifts (days, evenings, weekends).
• Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
• Proven sales ability with customer transaction experience.
• ASE Certification preferred but not required.

Pay

The estimated pay range for this role is $18.85–$20.98 USD per hour for new team members, depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, automotive knowledge, education, and leadership roles.
