About the Role
A professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, advanced automotive systems, and parts. It involves advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance for DIY customers, with the ability to source parts from multiple channels, including special orders and second sources. The position is full-time and includes key holder responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
- Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
- Manage DIY services, including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
- Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance.
- Perform key holder duties, including task assignment, safety, and open/close responsibilities.
- Assist in store inventory processes, such as truck put-away, cycle counts, and back stock management.
- Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot upkeep.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of automotive systems (e.g., internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust) and diagnostic ability.
- Ability to speak and write English (Spanish a plus) and communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment.
- Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Experience
- 3–5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
- Proven sales ability with past customer transaction fulfillment.
ASE Certification is preferred but not required.
