About the Role

A professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. The role requires expert knowledge of store systems, advanced automotive system knowledge, and part knowledge. Responsibilities include advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance for DIY customers, as well as sourcing parts from multiple channels. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
  • Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance.
  • Perform key holder responsibilities (task assignment, safety, open/close duties).
  • Assist in store inventory processes including truck put-away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
  • Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.

  • Operating inventory systems, store equipment, POS, and parts lookup systems.

  • ASE P2 certified or ASE-ready equivalent.
  • Advanced solution, project, and product quality recommendation ability.
  • Advanced parts lookup and sourcing skills.
  • Advanced selling skills for DIY customers.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of automotive systems (internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust, etc.).
  • Ability to speak and write English (Spanish a plus) and communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
  • Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment.
  • Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
  • Proven sales ability with past experience in customer transactions.
  • ASE Certification preferred but not required.

Physical Demands

This role involves physical tasks such as inventory management, store maintenance, and customer service activities. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws is required.
