About the Role

The Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales position that supports advanced functions of the DIY business. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, advanced automotive system knowledge, and part knowledge. Retail Parts Pros assist DIY customers with advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance, sourcing parts from various channels, and maintaining in-depth knowledge of store inventory and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  • Manage DIY services, including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance
  • Perform key holder responsibilities, including task assignment, safety, and open/close duties
  • Assist in store inventory processes, such as truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back stock
  • Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability (internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust, etc.)
  • Ability to speak and write English (Spanish a plus) and communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
  • Successful completion of the Parts Knowledge Assessment
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel required)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience
  • Proven sales ability with experience in fulfilling customer transactions
  • Valid driver's license
  • ASE Certification preferred, but not required
