About the Role

A professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts, with the ability to assist DIY customers through advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project support. The position is full-time.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate selling experiences for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance.
• Perform key holder responsibilities (task assignment, safety, open/close duties).
• Assist in store inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.).
• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot).

Skills

• Friendly communication and ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Expertise in locating and stocking parts, automotive systems, and diagnostic equipment.
• Advanced parts lookup, sourcing, and project recommendation abilities.
• Proficiency in operating POS, inventory systems, and store equipment.
• Advanced selling skills for DIY customers.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of automotive systems (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust).
• Ability to read, interpret, and execute instructions from safety rules, manuals, and diagrams.
• Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work varied shifts (days, evenings, weekends).
• Valid driver’s license.
• ASE Certification preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
• Proven sales ability with experience in customer transactions.
• Effective communication in English (Spanish a plus).
• Ability to pass the Parts Knowledge Assessment.

Pay

The estimated pay range for this role is $18.85–$20.98 USD per hour for new team members, depending on geographic location, experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and shift differential (if applicable).
