About the Role
A professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts, with the ability to assist DIY customers through advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project support. The position is full-time and involves sourcing parts from multiple channels, including special orders and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate selling experiences for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
- Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
- Manage DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance.
- Perform key holder responsibilities, including task assignment, safety, and open/close duties.
- Assist in store inventory processes, including truck put-away, cycle counts, and back stock management.
- Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot upkeep.
- Provide DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.

Requirements
- Working knowledge of automotive systems (e.g., internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust) and diagnostic ability.
- Ability to speak and write in English (Spanish is a plus); communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and execute instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Proficiency in basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure.
- Effective use of Microsoft software (Word, Excel required).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
- Proven sales ability with experience in customer transaction fulfillment.
- ASE Certification preferred but not required.
Pay
The estimated pay range for this role is $14.00 to $15.58 USD per hour for new team members. The offered rate depends on factors such as geographic location, retail experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and applicable shift differentials.
