Retail Part Time Team Lead Key Carrier

About the role

At Office Depot, the Retail Team Lead is a part-time key carrier role providing “total solutions” to our customers encompassing Products, Technology, Services, Furniture and Print offerings. The Retail Team Lead will quickly build and maintain customer relationships and become a trusted advisor by utilizing provided training to support sales offerings. This role supports a customer-centric environment, engagement with the local community, and contributes to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values of Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, & Courageous.

The Retail Team Lead will demonstrate a passion for the brand, technology products, furniture, print, and other services/products offered to customers. This role is part of the management team that opens and closes the store and currently seeks an evening closer.

Schedule

Monday to Friday: 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM
Saturday: 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Sunday: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
3 to 4 shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Limited Print Sales and Services:
  • Support efficient operation of the Print function while driving overall store sales.
  • Operate and assist associates on all equipment within the Print Services area to ensure client orders are completed correctly and on-time.
  • Utilize communication tools to request assistance within the Print Services area and coordinate appropriate service for all customers.
• Operational Efficiency:
  • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and loss prevention practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
• Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
• Client Engagement:
  • Drive positive client satisfaction levels, including coaching and training associates to enhance the customer experience.
  • Support community outreach initiatives to drive client/customer retention.
  • Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through provided sales and service tools.
• External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty:
  • Ensure the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of the management team.
  • Perform opening or closing responsibilities, including alarm system activation/deactivation and store processes.
  • Assist in reviewing cash handling, cashier and merchandise error logs, register voids, tax exemption, and related cash office audits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of related experience; sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills; able to use job-related technology and POS systems.
• Attention to detail and, ideally, experience in Print Services.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $16.00 to $17.25 per hour, with compliance to all state and local minimum wage laws.
