Retail Part Time Team Lead

The Retail Team Lead is a part-time role providing “total solutions” to our customers encompassing Products, Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. This position focuses on building and maintaining customer relationships, becoming a trusted advisor, and supporting a customer-centric environment aligned with Office Depot’s 5C values: Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, & Courageous. The role requires a passion for the brand and its offerings, utilizing proven sales principles to drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction.

The Retail Team Lead will also serve as a part-time ‘Key Carrier’ and may perform Leader on Duty functions, including opening and closing responsibilities. Periodic comprehensive background checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Print Sales and Services: Support efficient operation of the Print function while driving store sales. Operate and assist associates on all Print Services equipment to ensure orders are completed correctly and on-time. Utilize communication tools to coordinate service for customers.
• Operational Efficiency: Process merchandise accurately, adhering to procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards. Identify process improvements to reduce waste and inefficiencies. Ensure loss prevention compliance and contribute to sales growth through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction initiatives.
• Client Engagement: Drive positive client satisfaction by coaching and training associates. Support community outreach initiatives to enhance customer retention. Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge to deliver total solutions.
• External Key Carrier and Leader on Duty: Ensure the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of the management team. Perform opening or closing responsibilities, including alarm activation/deactivation and cash handling audits. Provide guidance to improve key performance indicators.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of related experience; sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills; ability to use job-related technology and POS systems.
• Attention to detail, ideally with experience in Print Services.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $9.94/hour to $14.86/hour. All state and local minimum wage laws will be complied with, which may result in an adjustment to the salary range.
