Retail Part Time Store Associate

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our continued success in today's retail landscape. The Store Associate supports a customer-centric environment, engages with the local community, and contributes to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values of Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, & Courageous. You will be trained in technology and print products/services to assist customers effectively and apply cutting-edge sales principles to create satisfying customer interactions.
Responsibilities
- Supports a positive customer-centric experience by proactively acknowledging and engaging every customer.
- Utilizes and understands the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional products and/or services.
- Maintains awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs.
- Consistently maintains store and print department appearance to company guidelines, keeping a neat, clean, well-stocked environment.
- Adheres to all standards related to signage labeling and merchandise presentation.
- Follows established sorting and stocking guidelines and completes freight processes.
- Ensures freight sorting area is organized and setup in accordance with guidelines.
- Scans, investigates, and fills inventory lows and outs daily.
- Works to continually develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools, including completion of Tech, Print, and other applicable training.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; supports the company’s loss prevention efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred (no prior experience required).
- Basic computer skills; able to use technology to access and input job-related information.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients and associates.
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory.
- Client-focused, positive, engaging, and action-oriented, with a passion for the brand, products, services, and solutions.
- Consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third-party may be required.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $16.90 to $18.00 per hour. All state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
