The Store Associate supports a customer-centric environment, engages with the local community, and contributes to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values: Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, and Courageous. You will be trained in technology and print products/services to assist customers effectively and apply cutting-edge sales principles to create satisfying interactions, contributing to business growth.
Responsibilities
- Supports a positive customer-centric experience by proactively acknowledging and engaging every customer.
- Utilizes the selling program to promote the best solutions and additional products/services.
- Maintains awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
- Consistently maintains store and print department appearance according to company guidelines, ensuring a neat, clean, and well-stocked environment.
- Adheres to all standards related to signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation.
- Follows established sorting and stocking guidelines and completes freight processes.
- Ensures the freight sorting area is organized and set up according to guidelines.
- Scans, investigates, and fills inventory lows and outs daily.
- Develops personal selling skills and product knowledge through training tools, including completion of Tech, Print, and other applicable training.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and loss prevention efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred (no prior experience required).
- Basic computer skills; ability to use technology to access and input job-related information.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients and associates.
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation and process inventory.
- Client-focused, positive, engaging, and action-oriented, with a passion for the brand, products, services, and solutions.
- Consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third-party may be required.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $15.00 to $16.85 per hour. All state and local minimum wage laws will be complied with, which may result in an adjustment to the salary range.
