Retail Part Time Store Associate

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your role is vital to our continued success in today's retail landscape. As an entry-level Store Associate, you will receive training in technology and print products/services to ensure you can assist customers effectively. You will apply cutting-edge sales principles to create satisfying customer interactions and contribute to business growth. The essential functions of this position may require consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third party.

Responsibilities

• Customer Centric Experience: Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer. Utilize the selling program to promote the best solutions and additional products/services. Stay aware of planned advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
• Store Operations Commitment: Maintain store and print department appearance according to company guidelines. Adhere to signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation standards. Follow sorting and stocking guidelines, complete freight processes, and ensure the freight sorting area is organized. Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
• Print and Tech Expertise: Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through provided sales and service tools, including completion of Tech, Print, and other applicable training. Pursue continued education and certifications as required.
• Sales Techniques: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and loss prevention efforts. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred (no prior experience required).
• Basic computer skills; ability to use technology to access and input job-related information.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients and associates.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately for documentation, training, and inventory processing.
• Client-focused, positive, engaging, and action-oriented with a passion for the brand, products, services, and solutions.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $12.77/hour to $14.07/hour. All state and local minimum wage laws will be complied with, which may result in an adjustment to the salary range. You may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program, paid in accordance with the Incentive Plan terms and conditions.
