Retail Part Time Store Associate

The salary range for this role is $9.97 to $15.44 per hour, with adjustments made to comply with all state and local minimum wage laws.

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, you'll engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, creating a positive shopping experience while driving sales. You will actively connect with customers, addressing their needs by recommending the right products, services, and solutions. Through enthusiasm and expertise, you will help create and nurture a vibrant sales culture, enhance the store's visual and merchandising standards, and support freight and logistics activities. As an entry-level Store Associate, you will receive training in technology and print products/services to ensure you can assist customers effectively. You will apply cutting-edge sales principles to create satisfying customer interactions and contribute to business growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about sales, delivering exceptional service, and driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Customer Centric Experience: Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer to support a positive experience. Utilize the selling program to promote the best solutions and additional products/services. Stay aware of planned advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
• Store Operations Commitment: Maintain store and print department appearance according to company guidelines, ensuring a neat, clean, and well-stocked environment. Adhere to signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation standards. Follow sorting and stocking guidelines, complete freight processes, and organize the freight sorting area. Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
• Print and Tech Expertise: Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through provided sales and service tools, including completion of Tech, Print, and other applicable training. Pursue continued education and certifications as required.
• Sales Techniques: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and loss prevention efforts. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred (no prior experience required).

• Ability to read, write, and count accurately for documentation, training, and inventory processing.
