About the role

As a Sr. Store Associate - Part Time, you will actively connect with customers, addressing their needs by recommending the right products, services, and solutions to enhance their experience. Through enthusiasm and expertise, you will help create and nurture a vibrant sales culture, enhancing visual and merchandising standards, freight, and logistics activities, while prioritizing unparalleled client satisfaction. You will support a customer-centric environment and engage with the local community, contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values: Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, & Courageous.

You will complete advanced training in print and technology products/services to assist customers effectively and apply cutting-edge sales principles to drive business growth. The role is essential in inspiring sales brilliance and exceptional service, particularly in Print and Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Centric Experience:
    • Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer to support a positive experience.
    • Utilize the selling program to promote the best solutions and additional products/services.
    • Maintain awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
  • Store Operations Commitment:
    • Maintain store and print department appearance according to company guidelines.
    • Adhere to standards for signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation.
    • Follow sorting and stocking guidelines and complete freight processes.
    • Ensure the freight sorting area is organized per guidelines.
    • Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
  • Print and Tech Expertise:
    • Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through provided tools, including advanced Print and Technology training.
    • Pursue continued education, including designated certifications if required.
  • Compliance Adherence and Support:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices.
    • Support the company’s loss prevention efforts.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • No previous experience required; retail sales experience preferred.

Skills

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
  • Able to use technology and POS systems to access information and process transactions.
  • Able to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Enjoys interacting with people and working in a customer-facing environment.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $12.50 to $13.75 per hour, with adjustments made to comply with all state and local minimum wage laws.
