About the role

As a Sr. Store Associate - Part Time, you will actively connect with customers, addressing their needs by recommending the right products, services, and solutions to enhance their experience. Through enthusiasm and expertise, you will help create and nurture a vibrant sales culture, enhancing the store's visual and merchandising standards, freight, and logistics activities, while prioritizing unparalleled client satisfaction. You will support a customer-centric environment and engage with the local community, contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values: Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, & Courageous.

You will complete advanced-level training in print and technology products/services to ensure you're equipped with next-level knowledge to assist customers effectively. You will apply cutting-edge sales principles to create satisfying customer interactions, driving business growth. The role is essential in inspiring sales brilliance and delivering exceptional service, particularly in Print and Technology.

The essential functions of this position may require consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third party.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Centric Experience: Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer. Utilize the selling program to promote the best solutions and additional products/services. Stay aware of planned advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
  • Store Operations Commitment: Maintain store and print department appearance according to company guidelines. Adhere to signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation standards. Follow sorting and stocking guidelines, complete freight processes, and ensure the freight sorting area is organized. Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
  • Print and Tech Expertise: Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through provided sales and service tools, including advanced-level Print and Technology training. Pursue continued education and designated certifications as required.
  • Compliance Adherence and Support: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices. Support the company’s loss prevention efforts. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; no previous experience required (retail sales experience preferred).

Skills

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
  • Ability to use technology and POS systems to access information and process transactions.
  • Strong reading, writing, and counting skills for documentation, training tools, and inventory processing.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Enjoys interacting with people and working in a customer-facing environment.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $8.83 to $14.65 per hour, with adjustments to comply with all state and local minimum wage laws.
