Retail Operations Team Member

About the Role

Nouria Energy Corporation, a multi-generational family-owned wholesale fuel distributor, convenience store operator, and car wash operator in New England, is seeking Sales Associates to join our team. Our company operates 150+ company-operated locations and supplies fuel to 300+ locations across New England and New York. We are committed to providing excellent customer service and value to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper and efficient operation of the station during shifts, contributing to increased profitability and growth.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with management on store operations, especially regarding changes or issues affecting operations.
• Prepare shift reports at the end of each shift according to company guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers with a smile, suggesting purchases, and promoting specials.
• Maintain safety and security of the store, documenting accidents or incidents, and ensuring compliance with environmental and hazardous material regulations.
• Manage the maintenance of the customer environment inside and around the store perimeter.
• Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently, supporting the implementation of the Safety and Health program.
• Report workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses promptly.
• Complete general housekeeping duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, understand, and write English at the eighth-grade level.
• Perform arithmetic calculations at the eighth-grade level for making change, completing shift reports, and accounting for products.
• Validate identification for tobacco and alcohol sales as per regulations.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and carry cases of milk, soft drinks, beer, and juice containers using proper lifting techniques.
• Remain calm and respond according to policies and procedures in emergencies.
• Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
• Work in various temperature environments, including coolers and outside in different weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Ensure physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of all store facilities.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Traverse and access all areas of the store.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged periods of standing.

Pay

Starting Rate: $15.00
