Retail & Merchandising Internship

About the role

The Bridge Thrift Store is an innovative and highly regarded thrift store that has been voted "Best Thrift Store" for 23 consecutive years. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Retail & Merchandising Intern to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of store displays and layouts.
• Help curate merchandise in order to create visual store displays for holidays.
• Research and design "story display" storyboards for upcoming holidays.
• Create fashion statement displays for men and women.
• Maintain display cabinets for visual appeal.
• Organize and maintain merchandise, ensuring products are properly labeled and priced.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers with their inquiries.
• Participate in pop-up store events and promotions to engage with customers and boost sales.

Requirements

• Possess passion for the mission of The Bridge Teen Center.
• Basic knowledge of retail operations and merchandising principles.
• Familiarity with visual merchandising techniques.
• Creativity in designing attractive and effective displays.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to analyze sales data and identify trends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including both writing and verbal.
• Personal and professional integrity.
• Strong organizational skills.
• The ability to lift more than 15 to 20 pounds.
• A sense of humor.
