Retail Merchandising & Display Technician

Full-time field role focused on installing, maintaining, and repairing retail displays and fixtures, plus general merchandising tasks and support for in-store prescription drug collection.

About the role

• Weekly hours vary based on business needs—some weeks offer 40+ hours, others fewer or none
• Dedicated Field Manager and 24/7 virtual call center for live support
• Paid training conducted virtually, online, and in-store; instructional videos available via app

Responsibilities

• Install and build displays, fixturing, and endcaps, including security, cabling, wiring, monitors/media players, and audio connectivity
• Troubleshoot and repair display issues (light fixtures, buttons, software, electronic components, etc.) to ensure full functionality
• Lead multi-rep projects, including full 8-hour days and travel up to 120 miles within the market
• Meet ad-hoc maintenance requirements, including 48–72 hour store service response
• Perform planogram resets, POP updates, and maintain correct pricing and signage
• Facilitate in-store prescription drug collection by securing and relocating take-back containers
• Report store visit status accurately and complete administrative tasks (scheduling, data entry, reports) within deadlines
• Build in-store relationships, participate in weekly conference calls, and complete other tasks as requested
• Available to work a minimum of 32 hours per week, with potential for 40–50+ hours; standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. start, with occasional weekends
• Overtime hours (over 40 in a workweek) communicated in advance when possible; all hours comply with state/local wage, overtime, and rest break guidelines
• Occasional overnight travel required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience building displays, fixturing, and monitor cabling/connectivity
• Experience using tools required to maintain displays
• Experience troubleshooting and fixing display issues (e.g., light fixtures, buttons, software reboots, electronic components)
• Proficiency with a personal smartphone/tablet for GPS, photo uploads, data reporting, and document reference
• Reliable transportation and ability to drive on behalf of the company per guidelines
• Commitment to meet minimum weekly or special project hours for the market area
• Basic toolkit (multi-screwdriver, torx security bit set, hammer, cordless drill, allen wrench, box cutter, rubber mallet, socket set, needle nose pliers, precision wire cutters, crescent wrench, easy off, putty knife, microfiber cloth, goo gone)
• Complete and pass required paid training (break-fix, ad-hoc, and project-specific) before conducting visits

Physical Requirements

• Regularly stand, walk, bend, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, balance, grasp, push, pull, talk, and hear
• Drive as required for the role
• Always lift and carry supplies into the store up to 10 pounds
• Regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds; frequently up to 25 pounds
• Occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance from a second person
• Work 8-hour resets when necessary
• Climb ladders over 10 feet tall
• Continuous hand/eye coordination and fine manipulation
• Complete and pass certification (online and in-store) for equipment such as Big Joe/Little Joe and forklifts
• Occasional travel via flight or other transportation modes

Pay

USD $22.00 per hour
