Retail Merchandiser

About the role

This remote position supports big-box retail stores for Oldcastle. The Retail Merchandiser will provide outstanding support to Department, Store, and District Managers. The role requires residence in the Ogden, UT market.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and achieve a consistent daily and weekly customer schedule (store visits) efficiently to meet customer needs and maintain cost effectiveness
• Proactively monitor proper inventory levels in stores using cycle counts and reports; resolve discrepancies with customer service and replenishment teams
• Participate in regional company training classes and events
• Lead and/or participate in customer events: demonstration clinics, product knowledge classes, contractor events, weekend special events, promo events, associate training, and community outreach programs
• Build and install product displays and new store resets
• Ensure product is safely stacked and/or properly secured
• Provide suggestions and share ideas to maximize shelf space

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle for travel to customer locations and local Oldcastle businesses
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
• Use of basic hand and power tools
• Daily travel to company and/or customer locations; some overnight travel required
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, perform repetitive motions, and work from a ladder
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions

Pay

• Hourly pay rate: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
• $650 monthly auto allowance with fuel reimbursement
