Retail Merchandise Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Execute receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring associates process efficiently and effectively as a team.
• Provide an excellent customer experience by engaging with all customers and maintaining a clean, organized store.
• Role‑model exceptional customer service and create a positive internal and external customer experience.
• Promote a culture of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Orchestrate truck deliveries, prioritizing merchandise processing onto the sales floor.
• Train and mentor associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
• Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
• Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
• Ensure associates complete tasks according to the store plan and prioritize as needed.
• Monitor team productivity and coach as necessary.
• Organize and rotate back‑stock for easy replenishment.
• Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Uphold organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
• Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous‑waste programs.
• Communicate accurately with management and associates when setting and addressing priorities, providing progress updates.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Partner with management on associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Support and participate in store shrink‑reduction goals and programs.
• Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Superior communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Capable of multitasking and responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Experience training others.
• Minimum of 1 year retail experience and 6 months leadership experience.

Pay

Starting pay range: $14.25 – $14.75 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Schedule

Flexible schedule required, including nights and weekends.
