Retail Merchandise Coordinator

About the role

Execute receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring associates process efficiently, provide an excellent customer experience, and maintain a clean, organized store.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate truck deliveries and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
• Train and mentor associates on merchandising and processing principles.
• Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
• Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to maintain efficient flow of goods.
• Monitor team productivity, coach associates, and prioritize tasks according to the store plan.
• Organize and rotate back‑stock for easy replenishment.
• Maintain merchandising philosophy, signage standards, and back‑room cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous‑waste programs where applicable.
• Provide accurate communication with management and associates regarding priorities and progress.
• Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
• Partner with management on associate training needs.
• Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs and support store shrink‑reduction goals.
• Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Superior communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Capable of multitasking and responding appropriately to changes or unexpected situations.
• Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Experience training others.
• Minimum of 1 year retail experience and 6 months leadership experience.

Pay

Starting pay range: $14.50 – $15.00 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Schedule

Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
