Retail Merchandise Associate

About the Role

As a key member of our retail team, you’ll deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. You’ll adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Role model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
• Accurately ring customer purchases/returns and count change back to customers
• Promote credit and loyalty programs
• Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and follow established procedures
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company standards
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and entire store
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
• Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of multi-tasking and responding to unexpected situations
• Able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Works effectively with peers and supervisors
• Retail customer experience preferred

Pay

This position has a starting pay range of $13.25 to $13.75 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
