About the Role
At Bass Pro Shops, the store you love by day only happens because someone gets it ready by night. As Retail Manager – Overnight, you'll lead the crew that turns a truck of freight into a store that's fully stocked, perfectly set, and ready for the next hunter, angler, or camper who walks through the doors. You'll drive results, energize your Overnight Supervisors and Outfitters, and take as much pride in a flawless reset as our daytime team takes in a great catch.
Responsibilities
- Direct all overnight freight processing, replenishment, and stocking activities while delegating work, monitoring execution, and adjusting staffing to keep store priorities on track.
- Own daily workload planning and shift-transition communication with opening and closing leadership so nothing falls through the cracks between night and day.
- Establish clear performance expectations and drive accountability for productivity, quality, safety, and execution, coaching and developing a high-performing overnight team.
- Ensure all overnight workload is completed on time and to company standard, keeping the customer experience seamless the moment the doors open.
- Execute planograms, seasonal transitions, merchandising resets, price changes, and inventory projects to visual presentation, signing, and pricing standards.
- Drive inventory accuracy through replenishment, stocking, and inventory control processes across the overnight team.
- Oversee special events, UPC and pricing integrity, assortment planning, and advertised item presentation for operational excellence and store readiness.
- Carry out scheduling, interviewing, coaching, and performance management for the overnight team in line with company policy and applicable law.
- Predominantly work overnight shifts, with occasional flexibility to other shifts as business needs require.
Requirements
- 3+ years of retail management experience in receiving operations or multi-department retail environments.
- Prior experience and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot warehouse and logistical issues.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Solid understanding of retail operations and sales principles, with a proven ability to manage operational processes.
- Proficiency in inventory control and visual merchandising standards.
- First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to be trained by company.
- Available for a flexible schedule including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Physically able to handle merchandise and perform store setup tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders or step stools, operating machinery or power tools, working in varying temperatures and noise levels, and exposure to outdoor elements and hazardous conditions.

Pay
Starting Pay Rate: $58,240.00 - $71,300.00
Schedule
This is a full-time, hands-on, overnight role that keeps the store moving after hours. You'll predominantly work overnight shifts, with occasional flexibility to other shifts as business needs require.
