Retail Manager Firearms - Full Time

About the role

The Retail Manager - Firearms supervises the firearms department within the store to include compliance with ATF, state and federal laws, and company policies and procedures. Additionally, the role is responsible for merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, sales enhancements, staff selection and development, team training and coaching, and customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
• Executes all sales plans to meet or exceed financial plans as set by the company.
• Opens and Closes the Store and has responsibility for building keys and alarm codes.
• Obtains “Manager on Duty” responsibilities.
• Leads firearm compliance sales standards in the Firearms department to ensure compliance with ATF, state, local laws, company policies and procedures, including 4473, 3310, state and internally required firearm forms.
• Leads firearm safe handling, safety, operations, and customer experience standards including line management and queuing within the firearms department.
• Maintains merchandising of firearms as set by the Corporate Office.
• Safeguards firearms compliance coaching and assists with investigations when necessary.
• Solves customer and associate issues.
• Carrries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring & training, planning, assigning and directing work; measuring and evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Provides a legendary experience for every customer, every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers' needs, making product recommendations based off this analysis, promoting programs including, but not limited to CLUB Membership, customer feedback surveys and In-Store Pick-up.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Preferred Degree: Choose an item. in ________ (if applicable)
• Certificate(s) or License(s): Years of experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in Retail Management that includes firearms safe handling practices, skilled in the accurate ID of firearms and ammunition, as well as their classification and mechanical operation.

• Ability to interpret a variety of other financial, legal, and technical information.

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Managers, associates, customers, and the public.
• Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to groups.
• Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated use of Team concept of Management.
