About the role
Hannaford Supermarkets began as a fresh‑produce vendor in Portland, Maine in 1883 and remains rooted in those origins, partnering with local farmers and producers through its Local program to celebrate local foods, farmland preservation, traditions, and jobs. Hannaford was the first major U.S. supermarket to document that all its seafood is sustainably harvested. The Hannaford Retail Management Training (RMT) program is widely regarded as one of the best leadership development programs in retail.
