Retail Lead (on campus) 3 positions

About the role

The Retail Lead oversees a team of student employees, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, managing schedules, maintaining stock levels, providing customer service, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. This position also involves utilizing University vehicles to support logistics and transporting the Food Trailer to various campus locations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all employees follow policy and procedures.
• Schedule employees according to labor shells and record time and attendance changes.
• Maintain adequate stock levels and merchandise products.
• Provide and coach friendly and efficient customer service.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and scheduling.
• Train and direct a team of student employees.
• Handle food and workplace safety, including temperature logs, cleaning, and sanitation.
• Communicate employee and customer needs to management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading teams.
• Ability to work 40-hour weeks, including weekends and evenings.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Legible handwriting and computer proficiency.
• Higher education food service experience preferred.
• Prior cashiering and merchandising experience preferred.
• Cafe experience or barista experience preferred.
• Servsafe certification within 90 days of employment.
