Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests promptly, respond to questions and concerns, assist in meeting video gaming needs, inform about special promotions, recommend additional items, and express gratitude.
• Support the shopping environment: maintain cleanliness and organization, foster guest relationships, promote GameStop’s guest benefits, and ensure proper inventory control.
• Process guest purchases and returns accurately, ensure accurate daily business transaction totals, and complete required administrative duties.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates, conduct store inventory counts, and ensure compliance with loss prevention practices.
• Count, balance, and reconcile daily business transactions, make bank deposits, process defectives/recalls, and stock pulls.
• Visually inspect associates' and leaders' packages, and supervise store closing or shift-end procedures.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.
• Exceptional guest service skills, clear verbal and written communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to work as a team.
• Self-motivation, ability to work under pressure, and follow instructions.
• Basic math skills, alphabetizing skills, and ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift up to 30 lbs.
