Retail Key Holder, Culver City, #423

About the role

BevMo! by Gopuff is seeking a Key Holder to support our Retail Operations team. This position is responsible for opening and closing the store and performing other duties in the absence of management. A Key Holder will assist the store during high-volume periods, support new employees, provide excellent customer service, and drive sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and establishing rapport with customers while informing them of products and services
• Arrive early to open the store and leave late to close the store
• Assist the store during high-volume periods and support new employees
• Demonstrate knowledge of in-house products to provide customers with recommendations
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as restocking merchandise, conducting inventory counts, and identifying discrepancies
• Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including opening and closing tills, counting cash, and preparing deposits
• Operate scanners, cash registers, and other electronics
• Follow proper age verification policies
• Ensure all prices and quantities are accurate and provide customer receipts
• Process refunds and exchanges
• Monitor the sales floor to prevent theft and minimize loss, including conducting bag checks and ensuring adherence to security procedures
• Maintain store cleanliness and assist in upholding standards on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, and bathrooms
• Train new employees on store procedures, product knowledge, and customer service standards

Requirements

• 1+ years of leadership experience in retail, grocery, military, restaurant, or equivalent
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak hours
• Basic math skills and proficiency in cash handling
• Team-oriented mentality
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Pay

Compensation for U.S. locations is based on a cost-of-labor index for the geographic area. The salary range for Culver City, CA is USD $19.17 per hour. A candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
