About the role

A Retail Host/Hostess provides friendliness, excellent customer service, and high standards while assisting customers in our venue’s merchandise stores. The role includes greeting customers, answering questions about merchandise and store policies, helping locate items, processing payments, and maintaining a neat, well-stocked sales floor. The goal is to provide customers with a memorable experience to accelerate business development.

Responsibilities

• Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact.
• Suggest items, lend opinions, and provide merchandise information.
• Be alert and observant on the sales floor to assist with guest needs.
• Handle complaints or customer refunds with a positive attitude and professionalism.
• Manage financial transactions and process payments in the POS system.
• Use business applications (e.g., email, chat/text messaging) to communicate with team members.
• Keep the sales floor neat and well-stocked.
• Maintain organization of stock rooms and accurately track inventory.

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months in retail-related positions preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in customer service preferred.

Skills

Work Environment

The role operates in a nightclub, bar, and/or lounge environment with constant public contact. The setting is fast-paced, high-volume, and high-energy.

Schedule

• Part-time (less than 30 hours per week), with potential to exceed 30 hours including overtime when approved by management.
• Varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
