About the role

The Retail Store Supervisor role at Office Depot is a full-time position focusing on providing comprehensive solutions across Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with customers to become their go-to advisor on Technology products/services and print offerings. The Store Supervisor is expected to demonstrate a strong passion for the brand, technology products, furniture, services, print, and other products/services offered. They are responsible for utilizing Office Depot’s proven sales principles to proactively engage customers and drive sales of our complete range of offerings. The Store Supervisor supports a customer-centric environment, engages with the local community, and contributes to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture that builds trust, brand loyalty, and exceptional client service delivery.
  • Utilize and understand the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional product and/or services solutions.
  • Maintain awareness of planned advertisements and promotions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by educating customers about Office Depot products and services.
  • Educate customers about Office Depot products and services.
  • Effectively utilize communication tools to request assistance anywhere on the sales floor, and to coordinate the appropriate service, and customer engagement throughout the store.
  • Evaluate the customer’s needs to determine the total solution.
  • Guide, direct, and provide ongoing training to store associates, including Print Services associates.
  • Facilitate training sessions on the business model and the holistic service offering for clients/customers.
  • Observe, coach, and provide feedback to enhance associate proficiency and build a culture of trust and brand loyalty.
  • Provide feedback to the General Manager regarding store associates' performance, certification(s), and competencies.
  • Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of other managers.
  • Partnership with all associates to ensure regular loss prevention compliance.
  • Absorb and activate/deactivate the store's alarm system, cash handling, and daily store balancing.
  • Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; coursework in Business, Retail Management, or related field a plus. 1–3 years related experience; retail, sales, customer-facing, and/or supervisory experience preferred. Knowledgeable in Technology and Print, including use of relevant equipment and POS systems.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

The salary range for this role is $15.00/hour to $18.00/hour, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
