At Office Depot, the Retail Store Supervisor role is a full-time position focused on providing comprehensive solutions to customers across Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. This role involves building and maintaining customer relationships to establish trust and become their go-to advisor on Technology products, services, and print offerings. The Store Supervisor demonstrates passion for the brand and effectively utilizes Office Depot’s sales principles to drive sales and engage customers proactively.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of trust, brand loyalty, and exceptional client service delivery.
  • Utilize the selling program to promote the best solutions and additional products/services.
  • Maintain awareness of planned advertisements and promotions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by educating customers about Office Depot products and services.
  • Evaluate customer needs to determine total solutions.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and ongoing training to store associates, including Print Services associates.
  • Facilitate training sessions on the business model and holistic service offerings.
  • Observe, coach, and provide feedback to enhance associate proficiency.
  • Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to procedures and visual merchandising standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies.
  • Ensure regular loss prevention compliance and assist in coaching associates for improved performance.
  • Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Maintain the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of other managers.
  • Perform opening and closing responsibilities, including alarm activation/deactivation, cash handling, and daily store balancing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; coursework in Business, Retail Management, or related field a plus.
  • 1–3 years of related experience; retail, sales, customer-facing, and/or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in Technology and Print, including use of relevant equipment and POS systems.

  • Comfortable using technology and systems to complete daily responsibilities.

Schedule

  • Flexible schedule aligning with business needs, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Full-time supervisors must perform External Key Carrier responsibilities, including opening and closing duties.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $12.50 to $15.50 per hour, with adjustments to comply with state and local minimum wage laws. Eligible for participation in an incentive program.
