About the role

The Retail Store Supervisor role at Office Depot is a full-time position focused on providing comprehensive solutions across Technology, Services, Furniture, and Print offerings. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with customers to establish trust and become their go-to advisor on Technology products/services and print offerings. The Store Supervisor demonstrates a strong passion for the brand, technology products, furniture, services, print, and other products/services we offer. They effectively utilize Office Depot’s proven sales principles to proactively engage customers and drive sales of our complete range of offerings.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Sales and Service Excellence: Foster a culture that builds trust, brand loyalty, and exceptional client service delivery. Utilizes and understands the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional product and/or services solutions. Maintains awareness of planned advertisements and promotions. Provides exceptional customer service by educating customers about Office Depot products and services. Effectively utilizes communication tools to request assistance anywhere on the sales floor, and to coordinate the appropriate service, and customer engagement throughout the store. Able to evaluate the customer’s needs to determine the total solution.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Provide guidance, direction, and ongoing training to store associates, including Print Services associates. Facilitate training sessions on the business model and the holistic service offering for clients/customers. Observe, coach, and provide feedback to enhance associate proficiency and build a culture of trust and brand loyalty. Provide feedback to the General Manager regarding store associates' performance, certification(s), and competencies.
  • Operational Efficiency: Process merchandise accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures, deadlines, and visual merchandising standards. Identify areas for process improvement and implement plans to reduce waste and inefficiencies. As a leader in the store, ensure regular loss prevention compliance. Assist the General Manager in providing guidance and effective coaching to associates for improved performance. Contribute to increasing sales and profitability through conversion, Average Order Value (AOV), and customer satisfaction improvement initiatives.
  • External Key Carrier Responsibilities: Maintain the safety and security of the building and associates during the absence of other managers. In partnership with all associates, ensure regular loss prevention compliance. Perform opening and closing responsibilities, including activation and deactivation of the store's alarm system, cash handling, and daily store balancing. Fulfill responsibilities associated with External Key Carrier designation.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

The salary range for this role is $13.96/Hour to $20.88/Hour, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
