About the role

As a Fulfillment and Receiving Colleague, also known as a Back of House colleague, you will play an essential role in supporting store operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a smooth customer experience. From receiving and organizing merchandise to picking, packing, processing trailers, retrieving orders from our back-of-house storage, and delivering them curbside to the customer, you’ll help keep the stockroom and sales floor running efficiently. You will monitor alerts to ensure Ready on Time completion of Buy Online Pickup In-Store (BOPS) orders and play a key part in customer interactions—greeting shoppers warmly, resolving issues, and delivering orders curbside with care. Your attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to operational excellence will directly impact both customer satisfaction and overall store performance. This role goes far beyond just being a behind-the-scenes support colleague. Here, the customer is at the heart of everything we do—every day, all day.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and organize merchandise to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Pick, pack, and process trailers for order fulfillment.
  • Retrieve orders from back-of-house storage and deliver them curbside to customers.
  • Monitor alerts to ensure Ready on Time completion of Buy Online Pickup In-Store (BOPS) orders.
  • Greet customers warmly, resolve issues, and provide exceptional service during curbside pickups.
  • Maintain a shoppable sales floor by recovering merchandise, updating signs and pricing, restocking, and supporting merchandise moves.
  • Collaborate with teammates to support daily operations and achieve sales goals.
  • Prepare the store for success by reviewing goals, learning about new products and promotions, and ensuring smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
  • Comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
  • Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
  • Resourceful, adaptable to changing priorities, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Essential Physical Requirements

  • Constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Standing for at least two consecutive hours.
  • Lifting at least 50 lbs.
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
  • Reaching, including above eye level.
  • Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers.

Schedule

  • Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week.
  • Part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12-24 hours per week.
  • All schedules include weekend shifts as part of the requirements.
  • Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability.
