Retail Freight Flow Lead
About the Role
The Freight Flow Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards and the teammate experience. With guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Freight Flow Lead serves as the in-store expert for their business or department. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service and providing direction to teammates as their immediate point of contact and coach. Leadership qualities such as empathy, resilience, optimism, and collaboration are key differentiators.
- Supports building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
- Builds a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate to foster mutual trust, respect, and contribute to the store’s recognition culture.
- Plans, organizes, and controls operations 30 days in advance with guidance from the Assistant Store Manager, including workforce alignment for daily assignments, game plans, projects, or store events.
- Strategically leverages teammates to ensure brand standards are met, programs and processes are executed daily, and tasks are delegated based on priority.
- Assists store leadership with general supervision, including opening and closing the store, Front End and Cash Office functions, and processing firearms sales in compliance with State and Federal ATF regulations, where applicable.
- Upholds company merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment.
- Assists with training teammates on company procedures and programs, including onboarding new teammates and cross-training current teammates.
- Prioritizes coaching and development for oneself and others, providing hands-on coaching and explaining the "why" behind tasks, plans, and processes (e.g., NSPP, Scorecards, LP).
- Leads by example to support the organization’s vision and store goals, helping teammates understand how their responsibilities align with delivering a hassle-free shopping experience.
- Creates an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customers) feels welcome, safe, and treated with respect.
- Adheres to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures, while maintaining confidentiality of Company information.
- Takes an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items weighing 15 to 50 lbs. repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items weighing up to 70 lbs. intermittently (up to 15 times per hour) with assistance or manual lifting equipment (e.g., pallet jack, dolly).
- Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
Pay
Targeted pay range: $19.50 - $28.50 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on factors including location, experience, and position offered. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location.
