About the role

As a Fragrance Sales Associate, you create a warm, welcoming environment through genuine hospitality and exceptional customer service. You engage customers with personalized fragrance recommendations that reflect their style, mood, and preferences—making them feel confident, valued, and inspired. As both a beauty enthusiast and product expert, you demonstrate and sell a wide range of fragrances and related beauty products while educating customers on notes, layering techniques, and usage. You contribute to a seamless shopping experience by fostering meaningful connections, anticipating needs, and delivering service with care.

Responsibilities

• Begin each day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals and top-selling items, and staying up to date on current trends and promotions.
• Engage customers with a warm welcome, personalized conversations, and tailored fragrance recommendations to build lasting relationships.
• Maintain a shoppable sales floor by merchandising new receipts, processing damages, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves.
• Drive sales and loyalty by using clienteling tools, promoting new launches and events, and collaborating with the Beauty team to showcase the full range of products and services.
• Open credit accounts and share loyalty benefits to acquire new customers.
• Meet and surpass daily sales goals through exceptional service and product expertise.
• Use point-of-sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience.
• Adhere to hygiene, compliance, and inventory standards to ensure a polished and efficient environment.
• End interactions with a sincere thank-you, often walking the customer to the register and using their name.
• Support teammates with honesty, care, and collaboration to foster a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
• At least 1 year of customer service or selling experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in English.
• Comfort with engaging customers, assessing preferences, demonstrating fragrances, and offering tailored recommendations.
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems, mobile selling technology, and clienteling tools.

Essential Physical Requirements

• Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting up to 25 lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
• Reaching with arms and hands, including above eye level.
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Frequent use of computers, handheld equipment, cash registers, and processing transactions.
• Constant moving, talking, and engaging with customers and colleagues.

Schedule

• Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled 30 or more hours per week; part-time colleagues are typically scheduled 12–24 hours per week.
• All schedules include weekend shifts as a requirement.
• Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
