Overview

The Firearms Sales Associate is responsible for actively seeking out customers in our store, greeting them in an upbeat and professional manner while providing world-class customer service and assisting with firearms questions and purchases.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all paperwork for firearm sales including but not limited to form 4473, licensing, and background checks are completed accurately and thoroughly
  • Consistently demonstrate proper firearm safety and handling
  • Evaluate and appraise firearms for resale
  • Able to exercise good judgement when interacting with customers when shopping for firearms
  • Have a well-rounded knowledge of all facets of the firearm industry including ammunition, reloading, and optics
  • Follows all Company policies and procedures
  • Must be able to legally own a firearm
  • Able to stop a straw purchase

  • Strong oral/written communication and reading skills to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with all levels of the organization
  • Willing to help with freight/stocking when needed
  • Demonstrate product usage within their shop and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ft.

Schedule

Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 7a.m. and 9:30p.m., Monday through Saturday, 7a.m. and 6:30p.m., Sunday. The schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Part time associates must be available a minimum of two weekends a month and two shifts during the week. Average hours per week are 15-20 hours.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements

Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
