Retail Department Manager

About the role

The Retail Department Manager at Ollie's is responsible for growing department sales to achieve the store's sales plan. Key responsibilities include merchandising, customer service, and store maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge every customer with Ollie's "Yes I Care, Yes I Can" approach to build long-term customer loyalty.
• Ensure all product within the department is merchandised and recovered per visual merchandise standards.
• Be knowledgeable of current promotions and advertisements to answer customer questions and drive sales.
• Support Ollie’s Army and other donation programs year-round.
• Aid in receiving the truck, pricing items, training new associates, and accurately and efficiently operating the register.
• Maintain the store appearance and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail experience is preferred.
• A positive attitude and team player who interacts well with customers and associates.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.

Pay

This pay represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. Pay ranges may be different in other locations. Actual associate pay will be based on work location, position, experience, skill level, qualifications, and other relevant factors. Associate will not be compensated below the minimum wage for the specific location where the individual has applied in accordance with city, county, and state requirements.
