Retail Customer Service & Stock - Corner Rack

About the role

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you'll play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and inclusive shopping experience for customers. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the sales floor is "runway ready," assisting customers with transactions, managing the fitting rooms, keeping the store clean, and fulfilling customer orders.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to ensure the sales floor is "runway ready" and is sized and filled throughout the day.
• Assist customers when cashiering with various transactions, including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items, handling bulky items, and providing a seamless experience.
• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
• Keep the store clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
• Manage stockrooms by keeping them organized and ensuring merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies.
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
• Promote Nordstrom Rewards programs.

Stock Support and Fulfillment

• Receive, unload, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner, adhering to quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments.
• Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
• Provide general support to the store, such as setting up special events, organizing backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.

Requirements

• The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting these items above the head.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Stock and Fulfillment Only: Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
